I felt that as a monk I would look for the beauty within the city. I was also struck by a sense of exclusion. Along my path many ways were blocked, either gated or for reasons of safety (the broken bridge). I thought that the separation within the city and the contrast between the beautiful and the broken would be an interesting idea to develop.
