The child is engrossed in his own world with his childish behaviour of dragging a stick against the railing or a drain, in comparison to other pesona in the city. (zina)
To a child the on is one big playground full of places to explore and things to play with.They dont see the dangers in the world around them, eg. crossing the road. Or the underpass for instance may be some sort of den, somewhere to play, where as the mother might be woried about taking him through it. (James)
