Sorry for the poor explanation. The little model i made consisted of an archway - relating to that of the southsea roundabout on our route (i think theres a picture of it on our blog). Under the archway - there to suggest there to be open doorways to different cultures/societies/new and old portsmouth and purposes of the city, there is a floating gate. Our group came up with the idea of gateways leading you to these different areas. Therefore the floating door suggests that the direction of the gateway alters the place in which you end up.
